‍Resilience training is a capability your unit is supposed to deliver routinely, not a one-off serial you bring in for a specific event. Standing it up internally means equipping the brigade with the qualified people, the governance framework, the operating procedures and the equipment to run it on the unit's calendar, not the provider's.

The second-most-asked question Officers of all levels bring to a scoping call, after cost, is how long the program should be. A single day, two days, multi-day, or an expedition. Each format develops something different. Time investment is not the same as training return, and a longer program is not always a better one.

‍A unit that wants to deliver adventurous/resilience training routinely needs people qualified to supervise the activity to AAAS-aligned standards. Without those people, the unit has two options. Pay an external provider every time the activity runs. Or do not run the training. Both options carry costs the unit ends up wearing for the rest of the posting cycle.

The posting cycle reshuffles command teams routinely. A new OC takes over, a new 2IC arrives a fortnight later, the Adjutant has been in the role six months, the RSM has been in the role six weeks. Each of them is excellent in isolation. Together, they have not yet made a single decision under pressure.
